Exploring Japanese Landmarks in Nishiki-e and Photographs

Obi

Obi prospered as a castle town for the Obi domain and Ito family from 1588 to the early Meiji period. Even today, the townscape of bukeyashiki (samurai residences), temple towns and merchant towns around Obi castle remains, and it is also called the Little Kyoto of Kyushu.
