Odenma-cho
It is said that the name originates because the home of the Shogunate government official who handled draft horses for the government was here. 1 chome developed as a town of cotton dealers, and was called Momendana (the cotton shop). 2 chome was bustling with a line of various wholesale dealers, apothecaries and stores. The Daimaruya cotton fabric shop was located on 3 chome (commonly called Torihatagocho).
