Risshaku-ji Temple
A temple located in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture. This Tendai sect temple is also known as Yamadera. It is said to have been built in 860 by Ennin of Enryaku-ji Temple. MATSUO Basho, the most famous poet of the Edo period in Japan, composed famous haiku here.
