Shitennoji Temple
This is one of the most well-known temples of the Asuka period, said to have been built by Prince Shotoku in 593. The temple’s layout is in the Shitennoji style, in which the Nandaimon, Naka-mon gate, pagoda, Kondo hall, and lecture hall are lined up in a straight line.
