The right to vote and the right to stand for election are fundamental rights of the Japanese people, and the result of the election greatly influences the political trends of the country and local governments.
This webpage introduces websites which enable users to search election results. Most of them are Japanese websites, except for that of the IPU (Inter-Parliamentary Union).

1. National election

Users can see the last several preliminary results of general elections of members of the House of Representatives, retention referenda of Supreme Court justices and the House of Councillors regular elections. Users can check candidate status, results of voting and counting, voting status by age, etc. for each election. The results of local elections may be posted on local government websites.
