• Summary, etc.: 【目的】本研究では「情報メディア」という概念を導入し，情報行動において用いられる情報源を物質的側面と社会的意味付けが合わさったものとして捉え直す。そのことにより，個人の認知から情報行動を捉える立場をとりながらも個人の認知の外で社会的に変化する情報メディアに焦点を当て，情報行動を情報メディアと人が相互作用する動的なものとして扱うことが可能になると考える。本研究の目的はこの情報メディアを学習における情報行動の中で行為者がどのように理解し，意味付けるのかを明らかにすることである。意味付けの詳細なプロセスを検討するためには，情報行動において情報メディアの選択が行われる場面に着目する。情報メディアの選択のための行為者の判断を情報メディアに意味付けが行われた結果生じるものであると考え，選択のために要因をどのように考慮したかという観点から情報メディアの選択の判断プロセスを整理する。【方法】大学一年生18名に対して，学習において行った情報メディアの選択の状況と選択の理由を問う半構造化インタビューを行った。本稿では，レポート課題と試験勉強に関する事例を分析対象とする。【結果】情報メディアの選択のための判断プロセスとその判断基準を整理した結果，大学一年生がレポート課題や試験勉強に取り組むための情報メディアは，第一に教員の指示に反さないものであるかが判断され，第二にその情報メディアが信頼できるかが判断された。信頼性の判断は，自身の利用経験に基づいてそれが適切な成果をもたらすと信頼する場合と，過去に受けた教育に基づいて信用できると判断する場合，他者からの評判に基づいて信用できると判断する場合があった。先行研究では「便利さ」が情報メディアの選択を決定づける主な要因とされてきたが，情報メディアの物理的な特徴や手軽さ等の機能は第一に考慮される判断基準ではなく，最終的な情報メディアの絞り込みのために考慮された。
