Analysis：

「八丁堤」は日本堤を指し、吉原へ通う道として有名であった。大黒屋は、名前の金兵衛をもじり「金瓶」を名乗り、洋風の妓楼として有名になった。軒下に吊られるのは、ランプ風のガラス製盆提灯である。描かれた遊女は、『新吉原細見記（121291652）』とすべて一致し、左隅に座る「今紫」は、この年の芸娼妓(げい...
