Note (General)：: 室町時代の公卿、東坊城（菅原）和長の日記。「和長卿記」「菅別記」ともいう。和長は、後柏原天皇の侍読（ジトウ＝天皇、東宮等に読書の指導をした職　）を勤めた。学者として名高い和長の日記は、室町時代末期の学問・思想研究の好材料とされている。原本は現存しないが、数多くの写本が伝えられている。
