- 公家で有職故実家の高橋宗直（元禄16（1703）年～天明5（1785）年）の著作です。高橋家は、御厨子所（みずしどころ）預という天皇の朝夕の御膳を供進し、節会などの酒肴を担当した家柄でした。宗直は、儒学を伊藤東涯（とうがい）、神道を吉見幸和、国学を滋野井公澄（しげのいきんずみ）、和歌を京極宮に学び、祖父の宗恒の遺志を継いで、旧儀再興の調査検討に努力し、元文3年（1738）桜町天皇の大嘗会（だいじょうえ）再興に尽力しました。当館所蔵の『太政官廳圖考證』には、「高橋書蔵」、「御厨子所預印」、「紀印宗直」の蔵書印が押印されていることから、本書は宗直の自筆本と考えられ、『淸紫兩殿圖』、『淸涼殿之圖』、『諸寮所之圖』についても、宗直の直筆画であると考えられます。宗直のこれら一連の著作は、裏松光世の『大内裏圖考證』に多大な影響を与えたといわれています。
