Mt. Haruna
An active volcano located in Takasaki and Shibukawa, Gunma. It is one of the Three Jomo Mountains and has been an object of mountain worship since ancient times. Lake Haruna is located in the caldera at the top of the mountain. Haruna Shrine, located at the foot of the mountain, has its main shrine and other structures designated as Important Cultural Properties, and Yatate Cedar is designated as a Natural Monument. There are hot springs such as Ikaho Onsen nearby.
