Izumo Taisha
A shrine located in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. It is known as a shrine to the deity of marriage and the deity of fortune. The main shrine is made in the Taisha-zukuri style, the oldest architectural style in Japan. The main shrine is a National Treasure, and 21 buildings and the bronze torii gate are Important Cultural Properties.
