Mt. Bandai
A volcano located in the northwestern part of Fukushima Prefecture. A volcanic explosion occurred in 1888 and the surrounding topography was drastically changed as rivers choked by rock avalanches formed lakes such as Lake Hibara, Lake Onogawa, and Lake Akimoto.
