Himeji Castle
A castle located in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. The castle tower, turrets, and other structures built in the early Edo period still exist, and are designated as National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties. It was registered as Japan's first UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1993. Also known as "Shirasagi (White Heron) Castle".
