Naritasan Temple
One of the main temples of the Chisan School of Shingon Buddhism, located in Narita, Chiba. It was founded in 940 by Kancho after he prayed for the suppression of the TAIRA no Masakado Rebellion. In the Edo period, Kabuki actor ICHIKAWA Danjuro I began worshipping in Narita Fudo and started to use the name "Naritaya," which attracted the faith of the general public. Komyodo Hall, Shakado Hall, and the Three Storied Pagoda of Shinshoji Temple are Important Cultural Properties.
