Takaoka
A city in northwestern Toyama Prefecture. The city is famous throughout Japan as a producer of bronze ware, and the bronze Takaoka Daibutsu (Great Buddha) is located in the center of the city. There are also many historical sites. Zuiryuji Temple and Shokoji Temple are National Treasures.
