Wakura Onsen
A hot spring located in Nanao, Ishikawa. "Wakura" was written with the characters "涌浦" in the old days, because the mouth of the hot spring that flowed out in Yunotani about 1,200 years ago later moved under the sea due to crustal movement. In the Edo period, the Kaga Clan ordered to reclaim the land and develop the area, and changed the characters for the name to "和倉," after which it thrived as a therapeutic hot spring. It is known worldwide as one of Hokuriku’s most famous hot spring resorts.
