Oyashirazu
An approximately 15-kilometer stretch of coast from Tonami to Ichiburi in Itoigawa, Niigata, centering on Oyashirazu Station, is called Oyashirazu on the west side and Koshirazu on the east side. It was known as the most difficult section of the old Hokuriku Highway because travelers had to run through the waves on the edge of the cliffs. It is designated as one of the "Landscapes of the Oku no Hosomichi," a National Place of Scenic Beauty.
