Asahikawa
Asahikawa is located in central Hokkaido. It is a basin surrounded by some of the most mountainous areas in Hokkaido, including the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range. Kamuikotan, a valley in the western part of the city, was once a difficult place to navigate, but is now known as a scenic spot.
