Tokyo Meisho-e (Tokyo landscapes) by INOUE Yasuji

This is a series of famous Tokyo landmarks painted by INOUE Yasuji (INOUE Tankei) from 1881 to his death. They depict scenes of Tokyo during the period of civilization and enlightenment. Inoue studied under KOBAYASHI Kiyochika, known for his ray paintings. Some of his paintings of famous places are very similar in composition to Kiyochika's works.
