Shin-hanga of KAWASE Hasui

Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) gained popularity for his beautiful woodblock prints of landscapes from all over Japan. These are known as shin-hanga (new prints).
His first and second collections of prints, Tabimiyage, were published in 1919 and 1921, respectively, and after the Great Kanto Earthquake interrupted his work, the third collection was published in 1924.
